About Attorney Black

Attorney Black is a lifelong resident of Vermont, having grown up along the White River in Hartford, Vermont. He earned a Bachelor of Arts in English from Norwich University, the Military College of Vermont and a Juris Doctor from The Catholic University of America, Columbus School of Law, in Washington D.C. He is the fourth generation in his family to practice law in Vermont.
Before founding the Law offices of Benjamin Black, Mr. Black practiced in a variety of areas, ranging from criminal defense, general civil practice, to General Counsel to a development and construction firm.
The Law Offices of Benjamin Black was founded to be a firm whose primary focus was the defense of DUI and criminal matters in all Vermont state courts, with a belief that a practice focused on a narrow field of the law would provide the best representation to its clients. The firms research, writing, study, and client services are all concentrated in these areas.
Mr. Black lives in Monkton, Vermont.
He invites inquiries regarding representation by telephone or electronic mail and is happy to provide an initial consultation at no charge.
When not practicing law you are likely to find him, in the colder months, in his workshop building furniture, or, during trout season, along the banks of a Vermont stream.
